Maverick- i live in scott city. There are 4 motels and quite a bit of public hunting. Most of the hunters show up for opening weekend and fill most of the motels. You are better off to come the 2nd weekend as most of the hunters are gone and finding some private ground to hunt is much easier...

not all labs point, but the pointing breed is similar to hunting behind a pointer with the exception they don't range as far if they are well trained. both of my labs point and hold until told to flush it up.
