I cannot comment on the dogs mentioned but what I can tell you is there are several dogs in IA, KS, MO and OK with far more hustler blood up close than the dogs previously mentioned.

I agree hunting big grain fields with a few people can be tough, what we try to do is walk across the rows like previously mentioned and as you walk set up to push the field to the corners if possible, as you walk one side when you get closer to the corner the guys walking the outside...

Cats
Cats are way harder on bird populations than fox or coyotes, coyotes do more good than harm to birds by keeping coons, possums etc in check.
If I am hunting near a farm house, I will give the cat the benefit of the doubt, if not I do all the native wildlife a favor.
Has anyone pheasant hunted it yet? What did you think? I have heard the duck hunting is awesome, I figure it gets pounded being so close to Enid though.
Last two years I have hunted sw of Amarillo and also all over central and NW Kansas, I have had far more luck in the TX panhandle than hunting WIHA in KS. Dont get me wrong there are a ton of birds in KS but there are also a ton of people hunting them and WIHA get POUNDED. Call the chamber of...
