    Weather.....

What's up with this weather? 60's and 70's this time of year throughout the Midwest and Front Range? We have no moisture in sight and it's really dry here, we have had less than 17" this year total. The 10 day forecast has the highs in the 50's. The Farmer's Almanac said it was supposed to be...

    Carbon fiber rib on SBE3

My Benelli Ultralight 12 and 20 ga have Carbon fiber ribs and I’ve not had any problems with them. The 12 ga has been banged around quite a few times and no issues.

    Ever heard this song?

As I age not so gracefully, if there was a way, I would participate in shoot and release for all hunting. I quit deer hunting years ago and only shoot one pheasant each day I hunt in my home area. I have good hunts with myself and the dog even if we don’t harvest anything. The days of...

    Is the site having issues?

I haven’t been able to get in for 3-4 days using Chrome or DuckDuckGo. Finally got in this morning but the site doesn’t have my password and it appears like I’m just a new member.

Pheasants Forever- SCAM or do they help upland hunters?

As I mentioned earlier, I have some issues with our current chapters leadership but in the past that chapter has done some great things including purchasing a driil to plant CRP that was made available at low or no cost to farmers to plant CRP fields and pivot corners. There was also some...

Pheasants Forever- SCAM or do they help upland hunters?

I'm a Life Member. We used to have a pretty good chapter but with a changing of the guard things have dramatically declined. It seems the new board members are more interested in self serving behaviors than being altruistic. My wife and I attended the banquets and spent money when they were...

    Cattle

A few years ago we had a drought around here. My buddy, who raises cattle, only got about 25% of his annual hay crop. He had two choices, sell his herd or feed baled CRP grass. It kept his herd alive barely but he had to pour molasses over the bales to get them to eat it. Did I want the CRP...

Pheasants Forever- SCAM or do they help upland hunters?

You can say the same thing about Colorado except it's burdened with Boulder, Colorado Springs, Denver and Fort Collin's!

Do you take a poke at the long range birds ?

I see a bunch of posts where the author says “I either hit them or it’s a clean miss” when they shoot at 50 yards! How do you know it’s a clean miss? Did you ever consider that you might of hit them with a pellet or two but not enough to rock them or bring them down? That’s why I never shoot a...
