    Uncut Wheat

    has anyone ever heard of planting wheat as a food plot or border strip but not harvesting it. i know weedy wheat stubble is supposed to be the best brooding cover there is, but i was wondering if small border strips of uncut wheat would benefit birds / hunters.

    When to hunt the various types of habitat?

    heavy roosting cover at first light, food plots at mid morning, grass or lighter (lounging) cover around lunch, and food plots again before dark. thats always been the best pattern for me over the years. of course that all goes out the window with big weather issues.
