Yes, there are roosters everywhere....but you can only pursue them for about 80 days each year and as others have stated, hunting is viewed as a major source of revenue by the locals now.     pheasant count

    The North East and North Central parts of the state are practically void of pheasants. In many areas, there just isn't much cover to sustain a lot of wildlife. They have a pretty good handle on where the huntable populations are.

    Frankly, the days of "clouds" are about over here in ND. There are still opportunities to hunt (for FREE) but the numbers are a FRACTION of what they have been in recent years. I just missed my first season opener in about 20 years. All reports I have seen told me I didnt miss a damn thing. BTW...

    ONLY $100 per bird...and "cheaper" than the competition you say? What a bargain! I will head the the grocery store and pick up a chicken before I waste that kind of money on a canned 'hunting experience'. Might be time to consider hanging up the shootin iron if this is what it comes down to...
