I believe 100% in force fetching and I have forced broke all of my dogs. They are excellent retrievers and when a bird goes down the will always bring it back. I have lost less than five birds in the last five years. Force fetching is not so much about force but about consistency.
Innotek is junk in my mind. I have had three different models in my life and none of them seem to hold up. I currently have Dogtra and am really impressed with it so far.
I have the Dogtra upland shock/beeper call and I am really impressed with it so far. I also have the Tri-tronics pro 100 and have never had any problems with that. I have had Innotek in the past and was not to impressed with them. Innotek might have fallen off the place of the earth, I have not...
This season has start a little slow. Went this morning and had my limit of 3 in a couple of hours. Since the corn has started coming out I have seen alot more pheasants.
I have to agree with 20thunderjet. I have only used asprin on my older dogs. I have never had to give asprin to my younger dogs and the get hunted very hard. I would say the dog is out of shaped or he has to be sick.
What type of skid plate are you using? Cabela's makes a good vest for upland hunting? I have used mine for my gsp for five years, it has saved me alot of money in vet bills.
I totally agree with you bobeyerite. My opinion is obedience is just as important as field training your dog for hunting if not more important. I take alot of pride in the obedience of my dogs.
