I am a strong believer that a dog is not a finshed dog until they have been traind to force fetch. Of course some dogs learn this faster than others and don't need much force at all. I have always found starting to play fetch with a pup at an early age helps this process termendously.

Hi Dan I currently have two Drahthaars and have had a couple others throught the years. My two draths would probably go after a cat and so would my shorthair, but that is because they have never been around them. I have heard about many successful stories on how a drath and cats can get along...

I agree with using the command "dead bird". I would also think about force fetching.

This is pretty common. The best cure is to get her on more birds.

It all depends on what type of cover you are going to hunt the majority of the time.

I sure hope they find her.
