    dove trip

Just back from my dove hunting trip and wanted to thank all the fine people in Kansas for a great hunt. The shooting was great at times chaotic , at one point my small munsterlander had 3 birds in her mouth, the misses were epic , but my 28ga and I powdered through and in the end after the...

You guys should be glad that your state holds birds, here in WI the wild pheasant is gone with them the huns & quail too. Grouse numbers are falling waterfowl is a joke (more hunters then birds) turkey yes , deer yap , doves on private sure. I would gladly deal w/ out of state hunters that means...

    Raise out of state fees!!

Western KS bow hunter I agree 100% farm practices/land management have sadly changed the land scape forever. When I was boy here in WI. we had pheasant , quail , huns too the paradise of my youth is now a desert.

    Raise out of state fees!!

I am not saying lowering limits will help populations grow but what I am saying is by lowering limits you might have some out of state hunters saying its not worth my driving X amount of hours just to kill 2 quail a day for the $$$ I am spending. If you are used to having limits at say 5-8 birds...

    doves

To each their own on the paying thing I totally get were people might be put off by that, I view paying in the most part to have access to private hunting land. Ive always wanted to hunt in Kansas and figured this might be a good way to get my feet wet. I guess I would ask then how easy is it...

    Raise out of state fees!!

meat hunter vs man who wants to work his dog. The issue is the word "limit" somehow some hunters feel they are cheated if they don't get there limit. Put the limits down to a pair of birds or 3 a day & you will quickly find out who enjoys hunting and who enjoys killing. I can hear them bitch now...

Best non tox for sweet 16

If you reload your own???? ITX shot is very good I have found the #6 pellet has the weight of a #6.5 pellet & pushed at 1350fps is good out to 40yds. The #4.5 pellet has the weight of a #5 pellet my loads for that are at 1235fps , but that still gets me close to 60yds of killing energy and i...

Pheasant hunting 101....anybody in the Green Bay Area?

Collians marsh is a great place to get started as far as pheasants go , last year I took a few pheasants and a hun or two as well. Off topic but the Marinet area is good for grouse (ruffed not sharptail) and is not hunted as hard as other areas ....ie parkfalls

Texas teen sets Skeet shooting world record 500 out of 500

Years ago I once shot 99 out of 100 , but these days maybe 85/90 on a good day with the wind at my back. I cant even think about trying to shoot 500 targets , none the less breaking all of them.
