Hunting with midgets would be smart, their guns would almost always be pointed up at a safe angle when shooting at a bird….

Just returned from SD, great hunt, snow basically gone. 11 month old pup really excelling in all aspects, so much fun! 4 of us, one of whom is dogless, no trouble limiting early each day…Sunday was fairly cold and windy, but not terrible once moving…Monday to today 40’s-50’s….very nice. Left...

Snow basically gone in my area of E/SE SD…I saw 53 degrees Tuesday, and low to mid 40’s Monday and today…excellent hunting. My 11 month old keeps progressing beyond my expectations…much fun! Hunted with a dogless buddy of mine who hasn’t been out in 15+ years, and 2 friends of his with good...

But he could flourish afield with a .410…no doubt about it…

Tim Walz is a better pheasant hunter than most of us here on this forum, myself included…I’ll take the comparison to him, with much gratitude…he shoots a .410, and shoots it well. Things are starting to make sense around here…

There’s a 2500 acre GPA 5 miles from my ground that DU bought with a large gift from a prominent Atlanta attorney who died in a plane crash…they may have sold easements, not sure, but they sold it to SD GFP then took the $ to go preserve habitat somewhere else…

I’ve seen 6 or 8 DU parcels get sold, one of them was bot by a rancher pal of mine…pretty sure it’s this program.
