feed we stayed in Oakley last year and went to a good dinner at a school, VFW, or someplace like that opening day night, that wasn't too far away---anyone know where that might have been?? It was a good one!

visitor I have been coming out to Kansas from Ohio for more than 25 years.........the Kansas guys I hunt with have "never" knowingly taken me on property we didn't have permission to hunt ...........as a matter of fact, several times we have seen birds on the property we know we will be allowed...

Ohio good luck out there njp, i'driving out from Port Clinton for opening day..........i hunt both private and WIH, you won't have any problems finding your way around............just like they have said, it's mostly in squares and easy to navigate, a compass will help you more than GPS.

you might think about heading a little more west--Hays has quite a bit to see, and is close to good bird hunting in any direction.................

Looks like my choice to leave Ohio for Florida instead of Kansas this week was a good one...........been out there the 1st of Jan. for a few years, but it sounds like the muddy roads will be worse in Jan. than they were for the opening weekend..........see you next year!:cheers:

I went out a few times in Jan., and found it to be better than earlier.............birds can be flock'd up, and once you find them you'll have a ball............the thicker cover the better!..........also, there if very little pressure, and that makes it good.

anyone know of any Nov. 9th dinners/feeds around Oakley, Colby, Grainfield areas??
