I'm hunting NE public land. About 15 hours of hunting this season, a few coveys, a couple of roosters, yet to see a hen pheasant. And that's not good.

Hunted at Milford Lake, saw two roosters, no hens, one covey.

My son was out of school so we headed to wiha's between Minneapolis and Hunter. We spent a lot of time driving down some questionable roads. Didn't see any pheasants all day. Hope you do better.

I hunted exclusively on public land at Milford Lake last year. I got my only pheasant of the season about 45 minutes before the season ended. Saw a few coveys of quail, but my young bird dog and I had a blast. I doubt it will be much better this season, but there's plenty of walking.

I got out to Milford Lake one more time. Saw a rooster and a nice covey. Something for next year.
