I hunted ruffs and woodcock this season in Mercer, WI and the Watersmeet and Gogebic areas of the U.P. We flushed birds all over the place. Most of the grouse flushed in groups of 2-4 at a time. I know it has been spotty in some areas but we got 24 grouse in three days between 2-4 hunters...
