I'm thinking about getting out Saturday and the usual training site at Brillion doesn't have much for cover with the heavy snow fall.
Are there any dog training areas out there with decent cover yet? I'm hoping to find something 30 - 45 minutes from the fox valley area.

What do you use and does it keep raccoons out? It looks like something that can be chewed through.
Do you guys have a preference on brand? I'm thinking about building one and raising 40-60 birds. How much space would you need for that many birds? Any advice would help. Appreciate the advice...
The crate. The dnr requires alot. I believe one of the requirements are so they can stand. However, that little extra height gives them the ability to jump and hurt themselves and makes it alot harder the handle them.

I just hunted eldorado the last couple days with little to show but fun regardless. Ill hunt right up till the end. Crossing fingers for snow, just enough.
I just want to take a bird or two from different locations. I may end my hunt at Eldorado. I tried twice there last year late season and didn't see anything. There was alot of other hunters given the time of the year.
My spirit broke when I saw the endless fields of cattails.
I've taken 11 birds so far this season and hoping to get a few more before its all said and done. It's been a great season. Loved watching the dog work. Only had one day where I couldn't hit the back side of a barn due to the wind. I lost about 3 weeks because my dog stepped on a broken beer...
