What kind of gun is that?

I have to spend about a week a month in sourthern Indiana. Are there any wild upland birds to hunt in Indiana?

I have been told last year was better than it had been in some years for pheasant and quail. Anyone agree?

Benelli Montefeltro 20 gauge hands down. Light, shoots like a dream and is the perfect "tool" for the job. Can you buy nicer guns heck yes. But it is great if you want to kill any upland game birds.

Out of curiiosity why are the springer so good with pheasant. That is one breed with which I have never hunted. Would love to watch one hunt one day.

If he goes that that is close to what I thought we would try. I have two big running shooting dogs and a pretty big running gun dog. I figured I would keep my gun dog as short as possible hunt it with his Britt.

I don't think anything about his dog. I have never seen it. I also don't care if it is the best one to ever live, or bumps every pheasant in the state. I just dont want to do anything to discourage my friends interest because the only brittneys I have been around were great short running...

Well that makes me feel a lot better. I was suppose to be in Montana with the dogs this week and that didn't happen.

How bad does the snow and weather get then?
