Nice man. Looks Great! Bird looks good too! Careful with that though, that's a slippery slope bringin your girl with you on your escape from the nest.

Corn is to Pheasants in late season as Anheiser products are to Western Kansas hunters. You need a big group of guys to bag birds effectively out of corn, but is is a great crop to walk to push birds into thick cover.

The birds are fine. You will probably find more frozen this year because there are still so many 1st year birds that haven't even seen a hunter b/c of all the standing corn that hung around. We dont want the ones that are dumb enough to die in a snow drift to spread their seed into next season...

Without private land access, you are wasting your time by not driving to the Colorado/Nebraska line. You have to work hard for birds out there. Hunt Wheat stubble in the morning until 10am or so. Then hunt the thickest grass you can find until 2pm. Hunt wheat stuble the rest of the day.
