    Browning Maxus vs. Benelli Vinci

We have the Vinci's in our store now (Gander Mountain) and no one has bought them yet, they are ugly, but I am sure once the hunting seasons come upon us they will sell better. I agree that the SBE is a great gun, and I hope the Maxus can match it or go beyond it.

    Browning Maxus vs. Benelli Vinci

I work for Gander Mountain and I got to shoot the new Browning Maxus and Benelli Vinci for 3 days this past week for product testing. I was blown away by both guns for different reasons. First the Browning Maxus; very soft shooting gun, and nice and light. This gun pulls up awesome. Has a...

    Wild Albino Pheasants

I was hunting in Michigan a few years ago and put up a pure white bird, I think it was a pheasant. I didn't shoot at it because I didn't know what it was. I wish I could have that hunt back!!!

    16 ga. Loads for Pheasant

I shoot Federal Magnum Lead #5's through my Browning 16 525 Field. I love that load, they cost a little more, but I think there worth it. I have tried Fiocchi's 16 ga, #5's and they were ok, but dirtier than the Federals.

    Flushers: Steady or Not?

I personally train my dogs to follow the birdin the air until the dog is called off. I think a HUNTING dog should be able to follow the bird, make a quick find and retrieve. I understand Field Trial dogs are trained different, but it's a lot different terrain when your hunting in marshes that...

How well does blocking work for you?

I think it all depends on the cover you are blocking. If the cover is super thick, most birds will sit tight. If your hunting crop fields the birds seem to run and that is when I have had success with blockers.

    SxS or O/U???

The spartan is a decent gun for the money, but nowhere near the Brownings in quality. I sell the spartans and I personally wouldn't buy one. Remington doesn't make them, they just stamp their name on them. Baikal makes the guns in Russia, they are all built on a 12 ga frame. They are a very...
