Footage from my Colorado Pheasant Country Scouting Trip

Thanks for the video Greg. They need some snow to cover up those goat head stickers. My Lab is heavy enough they still puncture his booties. I will probably shoe glue some rubber innertube on his boots this weekend. My 55lb Shorthair not so much. Brute

    Footage from my Final Trip

Huh,,, I'll have to read into Braque's. I met/ hunted with a gentlemen at a WIA that has a gorgeous Wirehaired Pointing Griffon and that really peaked my interest. I also have a seven year old Lab that is awesome but he doesn't have the gas tank like pointing breeds. It seems I've been...

    Footage from my Final Trip

I'm glad your are bumping all those hens Kiva. I went out on Friday to avoid the wind like in your video and kicked up five roosters (all out of range of course) and only one hen. Here's to those hens having lots of chicks this spring. Thanks for the cool videos man. Dag - That's a good looking...

    SW Nebraska

Spot on folks. We stayed in McCook over the Thanksgiving weekend also. (over from Denver) Two gentlemen in our group who have been hunting these same spots for thirty plus years said this might be the worst they can remember. Four hunters and seven dogs kicked up 12 roosters and ONLY three hens...

    2020/2021 Pheasant Phorcast

Thanks for the heads up Sig-Mech. Myself and my two dogs will forego opening day as it has become an absolute mess. Pray for some snow to cover up those dreaded Goat Heads! Brute

    How’d everyone do?

Saturday was mainly a scouting trip for us. Bumped one rooster out of reach and had a few hens hold fairly tight for some doggy practice. Lots of hunters and lots of standing crop lead to a fairly short day, especially after the wind started gusting pretty hard. Thanks for the heads up on the...

    How’d everyone do?

Cool video as usual. I noticed your dog didn't have and booties on. How were the thorns/ goat-heads/ stickers?

    How’d everyone do?

Curious as well. My GSP was still healing from getting neutered so I wasn't too anxious. I'll take him and his big brother (lab) out this weekend and see what we can find.

    Thursday 1.31.19

No roosters were had but plenty of dog work on quite a few hens. Hopefully that bodes well for next year. Second WIA field of the morning erupted like pop-corn after only a couple steps into waist deep grass driving my two dogs crazy. Just emerging into my sight is my ten month old GSP...

    Final Day of My Season

Thanks for sharing. Echo is looking great already heading into "magic" year number four next season. My Lab had that light bulb moment that everyone talks about while hunting up in North Dakota. Brute

Last Hunting Trip of the Season Takes a Twist

Thanks for the videos Kiva. Tears me up seeing a dog get hurt. Glad she is on the mend. Old homesteads with abandoned farm equipment/ trash piles scare the heck out of me for this exact reason. Brute
