    Please answer a question?

Please answer a question Thanks guys for the responses. Roosterslayer, your answer seems to go along with what I heard. Can see the 10:00 A.M.start, but the 12 noon seems kind of late. But, rules are rules. Learned a long time ago not to buck the system However, if the birds are there, why...

    Please answer a question?

Will one of you SD guys please answer a question for me? I am making my first pheasant hunt this fall to SD and would like to know the reasoning behind not being able to start hunting till noon the first week and 10:00 AM thereafter. Cajun Boil

CajunBoil Hey guys, If you ever get down to Baton Rouge, drop me a line and the crawfish and beer are on me.Don't drop any though, my Brittanys love 'em and there are no feathers to get in their mouth! In addition to letting 'em soak. you can also add ice as suggested, it speeds up the process...

    Cajun Boil

CajunBoil Yep, you throw 'em in whole. When done, you do the Cajun thing.Pull them apart and "suck the head and pinch the tail" I doubt very seriously that the crawfish you have up there are the same we have down here. Of course, you folks are learning what us cajuns have known all our lives...

    Seeing many birds

Haymaker, Thanks for the tip. Found that to be true in Texas also. The season there doesn't start till The first week in December. The weather in the Panhandle can be brutal at that time of year. Ice, snow, sleet and winds up to 40 - 45 mph. Been there, done that. Wish I was coming from Texas...

    Seeing many birds

Thanks for the info. All I am looking for is an opportunity to see some birds to shoot at and to get a limit if I shoot straight. But like a buddy of mine says, " that's why they call it hunting instead of killing"! The best part, is just getting out, seeing the dogs work and meeting people that...

    Seeing many birds

Haymaker and Fourtrax, Thanks for the response. Will be hunting with Bob Olson @ Homestead Hunting. I have heard good things about his operation and he seems like a really nice guy when speaking with him. Any thoughts? As I told him, I just want to see some birds and have the opportunity to...
