Thanks for the correction Birdman. I didn't know he was a breeder. I am feeling better the more I learn about the dog and the his background. Can't wait to get him home and start working on commands.

I don't think he was a breeder just a relative of one of birdmans friends who had a free dog. I know he is pure but no papers. My understanding is he hunting him a few times last year and he is not gun shy. Will see this season.

Thanks guys, I would perfer to hunt with the shorter barrel make the gun lighter. But friends keep saying you can reach out and touch the birds with that short barrel, you need the longer one.

I was wondering if barrel length makes much of a difference. I was patterning two shot guns with different barrel lengths and using different choke tubes. I didn't seem to find much of a difference between 26 inch and 21 inch barrel with full choke. Any comments? Let me add at 20, 30 and 50 yards.

I have had several different types of bows. I finally got a Matthews. As far as I'm concerned the buck stops there. I think every bow has some kind of charteristic you either like, dislike, or just deal with. Find the one that has the least and you have the bow you will be the best with.
