Dove in October South of Denver

I live north of Denver, and for the past several years I've gone to the NE to hunt Dove in Sep. I would like to give the south a shot and stretch my season out. There's only about 3 SWA within my driving range (almost 3 hours). Karval Reservoir, Hugo, and Ramash SWA. I know people hate...

    Accuracy

Wow, thanks for all the info. I think what I will try, for dove season to start, is a set of cheep flip-up sunglasses that I can put tape on. That way I can flip them up if there causing problems. Dove is mostly still hunting so I can break it in, see how it works. I would be concerned about...

Went up to Snyder CO on Saterday AM. The Dove were flying, far more Dove then I had ammo, as I found with most of the others I talked to. I've got to work on my shooting. 1 box of 20ga, only took 5 birds. ack

    Year 2 Hunting in Co

There have been draining lakes around Denver to provide water for farms east of here. Between the drought, fires, large fish die offs, it's been a hard summer all over.

    Year 2 Hunting in Co

Well after many unsuccessful hunts last year I am going to stick closer to home for Dove this year. Mainly the SWA's east of Greeley look most promising. Could anyone recommend any one over another, and why? Brower SWA Mitani-Tokuyasu SWA Nakagawa SWA Centennial Valley SWA I did go out to...
