I have a 28ga. Tri-Star o/u I bought for chukar hunting; it is turning into my go to gun! All though I have not yet used it for pheasants (that will happen the end of this month on a trip to NoDak, SoDak and NE.) I have been using it for chukar, quail, blue, ruffed, and sharptail grouse along...

I really like this thought! Calm the dog and then put it back to work....much better chance of the dog tracking the bird now, rather than just wild searching!

My male is from Willowcreek Kennels; he is out of Featherfoots Jet Stream and Cedarwood's Ace's High and of course My little female is "Prairietrouts"; "O" litter! Missed you in Idaho this year! Chris and I got in a couple of good days hunting. Conobirds

My big male will get out to a 1/4 of a mile in open country, while my little female stays closer around 250 - 300 yards. I run tracking collars on them and have had both, have 25+ mile days.

You just described a "Pudelpointer"!! In my opinion the Pudelpointer is much nicer to look at than a Pointer.

Conobirds - Co/is for Colorado and the nobirds....well I think you can figure that out for yourself.

Pheasanthunt, I'm looking for the SxS...they seem to be a little harder to find. Zeb, I would use the 12ga for hunting and the 20ga for trials. Conobirds

Cheap-"O" tri-star 28ga. o/u for chukar, huns, forest grouse and sharp-tail, browning gold-hunter 12ga. for pheasants, sage grouse and waterfowl and a miroku 20ga o/u for field trials.
