Surprised no ones mentioned Walther. I have an XD45. I like it. But it's a bit bulky for the summer. My next 2 handguns will most likely be a walther PPS and a Ppq when they bring back the paddle mag release in 9mm.

Saw a bunch this morning, some wild flushes and some just no shots. Came home with nothing. Fun to be out though.

I'll be out til close, regardless of weather. Hunted last weekend and poor dog work/poor shooting got the best of me. Saw birds though. Heading out for a full day tomorrow. While it may be more difficult, I love hunting December.

Played hooky from work about 2 weeks ago and limited out pretty quick. The second rooster was from a group of 4 standing under some scrub oaks. The dog pointed them from a cut bean field and could see them milling around. I'm glad I dropped one... she has struggled with birds out in the open.

They're pretty new in NAVHDA as well. I've heard good things, but never trained or hunted with any.

The dog will be fine out running around. Make sure what you were will keep out the wind and if possible move the sweat away from you. If I didn't have to work I'd be hunting today.
