Hey i live about 30 minutes north of quincy and do a lot of bird hunting in iowa. Gonna head up for a hunt the weekend of Thanksgiving. Going about 30 minutes away from Iowa City. We went up with 4 guys and no dogs 2 weekends ago and seen a good number of roosters and hens.

Some mixed feelings on this. Feed back is appreciated and opinions are respected. I suppose its all in the eye of the beholder.

Yeah, dead serious. Ive done a little bit of research and from what it sounds like Labardoodles make excellent hunting dogs. Poodles were used as hunting dogs by germans i believe. They have great noses and are very intellegent, and of course we know characterictics of labs. I was curious to...

Anyone here that is actively using a labardoodle to hunt pheasant or duck with? Or know anyone who is using one. Id be very interested in hearing some stories or prod and cons.

Went for a hunt today, 4 guys no dogs. Results were rather pleasing. Ended up with 1 rooster. Seen a total of 5 roosters and 3 hens. This is all within a 2 mile radius. Birds were running today, but we drove them towards water and very thick brush and were able to flush them out.
