Had similar thing happen. Hunting geese on Yellowstone during freeze up, ice flowing. Tried to get lab to retrieve a goose he didn't see fall. Threw a stick and it landed on goose. Dog swam out and retrieved the stick :-( To make things worse buddies short hair went and got the goose :-(

Found a farmer stuck in the mud in his field, miles from nowhere. Spent a couple hrs getting him out. Asked if I could hunt he was reluctant but said yes. He said any posted signs this color u can hunt. It turned out he was a major land owner for miles around Winner, SD. Had more land than...

Just talked to bunch of friends, locals, that live in the state. They said it was worst they have seen in years. Bunch of 8 or 9 zero birds. Not what I was hoping for :-(.....But long ways to go yet hope for better wx. Harvest hardly started yet. Better conditions I hope. :-)
