    Extended chokes?

Thank you all for your responses. Joe Hunter, i have patterned my current skeet, IC and modified chokes and although they work fine, I've found that there always seems to be one quadrant in the pattern that has a noticeable difference in shot density. This is especially true in my current...

    Extended chokes?

I have a made in Japan, Browning A5, 12 ga. Lite with the standard Invector choke system in it. I've never used anything but the standard Browning flush mounted chokes and i was thinking about trying a couple of the extended chokes. If for no other reason then the ease of changing tubes in the...

Which do you prefer for wild plains phez?

Mine is an old beat up, made in Japan, Browning A5 lite with screw in chokes. My dad gave it to me on my 40th birthday and he bought it at a sherrif's sale. The gun was really neglected and had the choke tube frozen in place and the tube that was stuck was a skeet tube. One day i went to a...

    High velocity 20 Ga. shells?

I was at Cabela's in Olympia Monday and they had the Fiochi GP's in 2-3/4" 20's for 129.99 a case of 10 boxes. But than you'd have never got them out the door!!! They only had 5 of the 25 registers open and over 125 people in line. That's 25 people per register, figure a minimum of 2 minutes per...

    High velocity 20 Ga. shells?

I have an A-5 light in a 12ga. that I really enjoy but I just love hunting with a light 20. I have a Huglu 20ga. Redhead O/U and I'm looking for a Citori lightning in 20. I had one 15 years ago that I had to sell and I've regretted it ever since.

    Rio & Noblesport shells

Rio is distributed by Able. Last year our gun club was offering the Rio target loads very cheap, about $4.50 a box. 1-1/8 oz at 1200fps. Not a bad load at all. I now wish I would have picked up several cases of them, haven't heard anything about their hunting loads.

    High velocity 20 Ga. shells?

Longshot must be a recent addition to Hodgdon's lineup? Also looks good out of the 12 ga. with 1-1/4 oz. loads. Gets you in that 1400+ fps catagory.

    Ruby's comeback - with STYLE!

My wife just can not understand how I can possibly love the smell of a muddy, wet lab! From that picture, I'm sure you know what I'm talking about. That is one purdy lab.

    High velocity 20 Ga. shells?

Yes, I've found several steel loads in that 1400 to 1500 fps and that's why I don't understand why it can't be done with lead shot? I've used 1-1/8 oz 3" reloads at about 1250 fps that have worked in the past. I don't reload that much anymore but I would like to see some faster lead pheasent...

    High velocity 20 Ga. shells?

I've noticed the trend in the last several years of the 12 ga. lead shot field ammo getting faster and faster with most all manufacturers making 1450fps to 1500fps loads. Most upland hunters love the extra speed and energy. Does anyone offer these faster loadings in a 20 ga.? I only see the old...

Hello from the wet side of Washington

Looking forward to getting back into upland bird hunting. I was away for health reasons for over a decade but anxious to get back at it. Looking at doing a Dakota's hunt next fall. Anyone with info on good experiences they've had on these, let me know.
