Rio is distributed by Able. Last year our gun club was offering the Rio target loads very cheap, about $4.50 a box. 1-1/8 oz at 1200fps. Not a bad load at all. I now wish I would have picked up several cases of them, haven't heard anything about their hunting loads.

Longshot must be a recent addition to Hodgdon's lineup? Also looks good out of the 12 ga. with 1-1/4 oz. loads. Gets you in that 1400+ fps catagory.

Yes, I've found several steel loads in that 1400 to 1500 fps and that's why I don't understand why it can't be done with lead shot? I've used 1-1/8 oz 3" reloads at about 1250 fps that have worked in the past. I don't reload that much anymore but I would like to see some faster lead pheasent...

Looking forward to getting back into upland bird hunting. I was away for health reasons for over a decade but anxious to get back at it. Looking at doing a Dakota's hunt next fall. Anyone with info on good experiences they've had on these, let me know.
