    Ford Eco Boost

i think the ecoboost would work well in the 6-7K range pulling, several people i know have tried to do more than that and ended up trading for the super duty, i have put 40K hard miles on a 012 6.7 and i will tell you this, if you tow 11k on a long trip with an ecoboost, you are braver than me...

    First guns for kids

I started my son on a 870 youth with ajustable LOP, no problems whatsoever, a friends son blew a hole in my winger blind with a POS rossie single shot with a hammer, almost got my mojo as well, those type of guns are crap, dont waste your money, i wont even let one near me.

    Dog prices............

I think 400-800 for a pup is good, pedegree is worth more to most, my 200.00 shorthair is a great hunter, there are better dogs out there but he does everything i need and then some, thanks to this site and the good people on it, i now have a Chessie pup and am starting all over again:cheers:

Recommend a good non toxic load

I have used the winchester blind side when i am hunting both phez and waterfowl at the same time, #2 3 in seems to work well and has 1 3/8 ounce cube shot, 1400 fps so recoil isnt a big deal and i have smoked ducks at 40+ yards when i do my part.

    Best boot for under $120

I have a set of rocky pro hunters with 400g in them, i wore them a bit big game hunting and also alot of upland as well, they havent leaked yet but the stiching is starting to come loose in a few places and i had to have the toe caps glued back in place. I think the lynx replaced these now and...

Like fine wine, what's your favorite brand/load?

Kent fast lead 1 3/8 #6 at about 1400 ( cant remember) not too costly and seems to work well for me, was shooting alot of Prairie Storm but its hard on birds in a 12g, but works great in a 20.

    Best dog for cold weather

I have looked at these quite a bit, they are tough but for fast icy rivers i think the chesie would work better, besides my GSP would never forgive me. LOL

    Best dog for cold weather

I dont need a robot, my GSP isnt, between the great advice i got here and his natural ability he is a very good wild bird hunter and i trust him to make the right decisions in the field and it works great. I think i will persue the Chesie. Thanks to all as usual. EEK
