I've been stuck in the office for a few days, but from what I've seen the harvesting is going really slow. Pretty much all the beans are out, but the corn is still to wet. I know a couple guys haven't even cut silage yet. This is the latest I can remember.
I currently have two labs and a gsp. I thought I would like to try a french brit, but my dogs cann't live in the house. I wouldn't mind trying a few different ones. springer, field bred cocker, and wirehair or pudelpointer top the list right now.
it's good to hear that things are coming along for you. being trained along with the dog will make for a nice seamless transition come hunting season. although this thread is kinda worthless without pictures. come on we want to see the little guy on point!!
the last two years I have used the twenty almost exclusively. however, I recently purchased a 16 wingmaster with a lightweight plain barrel from the sixties. so my vote might change by this time next year.

shooting fish in a barrel
I recently hunted during blizzard conditions. I have a young shorthair and felt the snow would be ideal for him as the pheasants would hold better.
