    prairie chicken

How do you tell the difference between a hen pheasant and a prairie chicken? I asked someone I know in person, and they said, oh you'll know. But HOW? What do you guys look for?

    Injured dog in the field

This has crossed my mind, and god forbid it ever happens. I am curious too. My thought call the local vet in the area and cross my fingers. I think there is an emergency number sometimes. One event sticks out in my mind. My dog and I were walking around a pond and came across a dried ditch a...

    Opener Countdown

Went out today and had a productive hunt. Flushed 5 roosters and 4 hens. Only 2 roosters cooperated on the direction of the flush due to the thick cover and I only hit one. Between opening weekend and today I've logged 12 miles. So far this season it calculates to 1.3 pheasants flushed per mile...
