So There Are Chukar in Colorado

Here's a little read for you guys before turkey day. Use the time off to get the pups out to hunt! Headed to SD myself with the family and some friends to chase birds over bird day. Happy Thanksgiving all! http://www.huntingtherat.com/hunting-chukar-on-the-western-slope-of-colorado

Waiting for all the pics and brags from the grouse whisperers....

It's been a decent year so far from my end. A bit tougher getting out with a newborn on hand, but I'll take the investment in a future hunting partner over a few missed days of grouse hunting. Happy to hear that a bunch of you are getting after it this year!

    Scaled Quail question

SE Colorado holds them for sure. I spent some time searching them out this year. There is so much public land down there it's almost intimidating. Everything the northeast is the southeast isn't (in a good way). Get your legs underneath ya and get after them, next season of course ;)

    Any snow in ne corner?

Just got back from hunting out there this weekend. Crusty snow for sure. I was alerting them and they were taking advantage of that fact from about two hundred yards out. 0 shots fired, one rooster in the bag. Go figure. My lab is a better hunter than I am, pulled that sucker right out of the...
