Going there the second week of January. Was told by my buddy's cousin who guides there it has been excellent especially the further south you go.

The breeder my brother and I have bought from has black and white pups on a regular basis.

Mine brings back beer bottles and cans that some mopes throw in the ditch. He then proceeds to chew up the cans.

That's what they do. Mine still digs some getting moles and mice. He's four. My older female, 13, didn't stop until she was five or six.

I'm going to Mitchell later this week. Any recommendations? Any thing within an hour or so drive would be fine. We're not looking to limit, just work the dogs. Thanks.

Has anybody been fishing on the Elk river north of Steanboat? My brother and I are going to meet a buddy of ours there at the end of this week. I was curious to know what the water conditions were.

NO. I'm not always good at putting things into words. I can't always tell you what I saw when I make a good shot. But most of the time I can tell you what I saw when I make (miss) a bad shot. But don't forget everybody's eyes and brain translating that sight picture work differently. I...

If I do that, I can then watch the bird coast out of sight. My eyes work differently, not that what you do is wrong. And it may just be old age on my part. I have to bury the bird with my muzzle, any bird.

Public ground for birds is kind of tough. If you're not from Illinois go the the DOW site, it lists all the public land and the type of hunting on them. I no longer have much wildlife right around me any more due to coyotes.
