If the url goes "forum.ultimatepheasant..." it isn't working for me. The Webmasters must have changed some of the pages but not all. It appears the updated URLs go "ultimatepheasanthunting.community.forum...."

Those days that start iffy and wind up with limits are the best. Maybe not during the hunt, but when you had to work for the full vest, nothing quite matches that feeling. Waaaay better than a 30 minute limit IMO.

As posted in a different thread, different parts of the state have different weather/temps. I'm pretty McFarmer is up in the NW part of the state, they got more snow and are colder in general. The central and southern areas got very warm yesterday. Des Moines reached 47 and where I am south of...

I wouldn't have guessed so much difference across the state.

With the warmer weather this week I think you will have a good chance at snow melting down, so it won't be as deep. Also the snow that is left should crust up nicely. But be prepared for that not to happen.

I thought I had inserted a link in my previous post, but I didn't get it right(fixed now). They look very similar to elderberries. Elderberries are a little smaller and fruit in a crown or floret, Pokeberries fruit off of a central stem. I believe Elderberry are a perennial shrub, pokeberries...

In my part of the state (south Central) it's mostly grasses, there isn't much flat ground that isn't farmed. Most of where there is enough cover to support pheasants is to hilly to have sloughs or cattail patches.

I'm halfway between Des Moines and Missouri and I was on the south side of the system, I got 6" and another 1-4 inches today. Further north they got 12".

With those stems it look to me like Pokeberries
