I would think you could ask the city if your in city limits where you want to hunt or not. the river in that area is hard to figure out. You dog should hunt the way you want. My EP hunts grouse and phez. and range needs to be close sometimes. run there in heavy cover when ther young so they learn to stay close.

If your questing the type of dogs this guy breeds don’t buy from him. If you want PM me and I can send you a link to a Great EP breeder. I would not worry about having two dogs Pointers are easy going.

I have a female Chessy I take her upland hunting but she just kind of hangs out with me while we walk behind the EP. A Chessy on land is like a EP in the water If you want a Chesapeake get a boat! :D

I have owned both and my GSP had a better nose for tracking and the setters were better at senting the wind and pointing a bird at a greater distance. But my every dog is different this was the difference betwwen my dogs.

The wife and I were up there a couple days ago also. I hunted field 4 a couple weeks ago and by myself it was hard to get the birds to fly on the right side of the willows but what the heck I shot my birds and saw more then I paid for. I think they do a great job up there.

Sweet I also hunted today but in MN. When it comes to the end of the season that is my favorite time to be out.
