Where in WI are you from? I am from Appleton and we head to SD Tuesday night...can't wait. Last year, even with the doom and gloom report we found a couple public spots that had not been touched, birds everywhere. Hopefully this year is more of the same!

Look for a guide in the area...hunting without a dog is going to be very rough, you could have roosters running in front of you and never know it. Paying for at least one day of guided hunting will make the trip worth it.

Cabin @GWP14, can you share contact info or a web site of the cabin you have rented...we are always looking for new places to stay. BTW, we have hunted Marshall CTY (britton) for many years now and private land owners are very welcoming to hunters and most areas do hold some birds, but you'll...
