What?s your #1 Gear Upgrade After This Hunting Season?

I have one and love it. I'd equate it to any of the overbuilt coolers (Yeti, ORCA, Engle...) they may not be necessary for everyday life but they sure are nice to have when you need them. The testing video they did is what pushed me over the edge. Now, I follow them on social media and...

    Kennels covers

I had this one on a kennel for 5 years. Other than faded fabric it was like new. https://mudriverdogproducts.com/product/dixie-insulated-kennel-cover/

What's your oldest "daily" use shotgun?

    Best UPLAND hunting pants

Not enough to make a recommendation ya/nay... They are pretty lightweight but don't deter thorns like my Filson or Wick. I'll probably keep them as preserve or fence line pants.

    Shooting Steel through Older Guns

Do what you want, but here is a cut & paste from Browning's site; All current Browning shotguns with the Standard Invector, Invector-Plus and DS choke tube systems are fully steel shot compatible with current factory loads. However, there are limitations to the compatibility of many older...

    Best UPLAND hunting pants

I like Filsons double hunting pants. Especially for a couple spots that look like grouse cover but with thorny locust trees. I just picked up a pair of Mountain Khaki hunting pants. Love the way they fit but I have no idea how they'll hold up. My absolute favorites aren't pants, but WICK all...

    Filson mesh game bag

I've got the Orvis vest. Mines, 10-12 years old and I still like it. The metal inside the snap-closed pocket have worn through the corners and scratched a stock or two... This summer I had a alteration shop as leather patches over those corners and a chest buckle to help keep the straps on my...

    Youth chaps

Yes & yes... I liked the bibs but I think the chaps will be easier to hemm/unhemm because they don't have the zippers. I may just go with bibs and let the old one pass them on...

    Youth chaps

I think those'll work. Thanks, I always forget about Dan's... My Wick overalls are going strong 15+ years later.

    New Guy

Sory for the delay... we had a pretty good year. 10 species for the dawg and 1 new species in IN for me. It's been a LONG time since I've seen wild Bobwhites... Now it's time to get ready for turkeys.

    A new generation.

Sadly I agree, and I don't understand why... Maybe, hopefully, its just part of a maturation process. I grew up hunting with a used Wingmaster, my dad had one 12 & one 20 gauge... Everything blued and walnut I'm 35 (today ) and while I do have a few plastic guns none are the hot new...
