All, I have the upcoming pheasant season is on my mind and I wondered what is it about the season that keeps bringing you back year after year? For me it is the stories that we swap and the end of the days hunt or seeing a dog work, young or seasoned!!

Yes, pheasant season! Opening day is always a great time with the guys, the dogs, and maybe if we are lucky a bird or two.

Is anyone else looking forward to the opener? I got out the shotgun and cleaned it today, took the dogs for a hike, and re-checked my supply of shells! Just a few more weeks and doing my best to hang in there!! :)

It was my first year to hunt Colorado and we hunted near Holy Oake and Julesburg. We knew numbers were down, but we did not think they were this low.
