    I also cut the wings, head, tail and one leg off, leaving one leg for ID. Next, I just grab some skin in each hand on either side of the breast, and pull (no knife needed), so you don't have to worry about cutting the breast. Just pull all the skin off, feathers included. Then, I grab in one...

    Nebraska hunter checking in here. I hunt in southeast Nebraska, around the Tecumseh area. Numbers haven't been out of this world the last two years, but there's still plenty of bars around. Uh... I mean birds around.

    870 Express Sling

    Your favorite pheasant gun

    My favorite is a Browning Citori Lightning 12 gauge. Fits me, and I shoot pretty well with it, too. I have an 870 Express 12 gauge as a back-up, which I also use as my duck and turkey gun.

    I like to hunt on private land here in Nebraska. Our private land, joint owned by a few guys, does not have any pen raised, or released birds on it. It is simply CRP ground that we've purchased and try to keep it as habitable as possible for pheasants and quail. This creates my favorite kind...
