    You had snow cover for roughly 30 days and then it all melts...they were out in the open fields feeding. 60 degrees out, they had no reason to be in the cover. They were HUNGRY!

    Why don't you contact the DNR for each state. They'll clear everything up for you.

    Spurs or Tail

    I have an Iowa rooster with almost one inch in length spurs. They measure 15/16 of an inch. Tail feather is only 23".

    I live in Davenport...Stay home, not worth the drive. Go to South Dakota. That's where all the birds are. Just got back from their. Awesome!!!

    Bartels I used to hunt near Goose Lake. I live in Davenport. Are their still good bird numbers near Goose Lake or is it the same now as the rest of the state?
