    Where to go?

Don't know if they escaped or not but there aren't any pen raised birds around this area. The ones we have here have more to fear from mother nature than all the hunters that chase them. Jazz9.

    Where to go?

I wasn't aware of that, the fact is I've never hunted pheasants more than 15 miles from home unless its been Iowa or SD. Both of these states have a lot to offer but the truth of the matter is, its not worth traveling if you don't have to. Good hunting, Jazz9.

    cockleburrs what's the use!

Ever wonder where velcro came from, yep it's true. Pheasants like the stuff because nothing else does, nothing like safety first. Good luck keeping a birdy dog out of it, so I just avoid those areas as much as I can, Jazz9.

Looking forward to a good hunt after turkey day and finally got a dusting of...

    Pointing Dogs and Retrieving

Pointing Springers For many good years I hunted with my female springer that naturally pointed, I don't know for sure but she came from quail country, and she was the best retrieving dog I ever shot over. I started hunting in 1965 so have seen a wide variety of very good dogs with very...
