    New Browning A5

Congrats on the A5, OnPoint. Hoping to have one in my hands soon. I haven't had much time to visit this site the past 5 years but I always enjoyed reading your comments in the past. I know what being the primary caretaker for an ill and dying parent is all about. Went through it with both my...

New Browning A5 in 16 ga.

I was looking for information on the A5 Sweet 16 today and came across this thread. Good stuff. I'll be interested in your opinions of the gun when Browning ships them.

    I shot a hen!

Bless me Father, for I have sinned... I don't remember if I was in MN or SD at the time, but 10 years ago I was hunting the edge of a shelter belt and a bird flushed from an adjacent strip of corn. I ducked out of the shelter belt and could see the bird crossing high in the sky, so high that...

    A Good Life

Thanks again guys for all the kind words and thoughts. I'm truly in awe of the loyalty the dogs displayed with my Dad in his final days. I believe they helped greatly in allowing him to achieve the level of peace in his mind and heart that ultimately allowed him to let go of this world.

    A Good Life

During his last days, they never left his side. It was quite a thing to see. I took this just a few hours before he passed. Thanks for the comments and condolences guys.

    A Good Life

Boys, if you're lucky enough to still have your Pops around, appreciate him while he's here. It was a tough winter. The old boy lost his battle with Cancer on Jan. 30th. He stayed with me his last two months and he died a good death, at home, with family, friends and his beloved Springers at...

    The Best Upland Hunting Jacket

A rich guy like you, Chris? I'd go with the Buffalo Tundra Coat... The extra large is only $3900.

what a time after our Blizzard

Good story and pics, Shadow. I keep one of those fold-up army surplus shovels in my Tahoe at all times. I've only had to dig myself out once and that was because there was so much snow on the ground, I confused the snowmobile trail for the road. Still looking forward to my first snow hunt...

    Disturbing trend??

Speaking of disturbing trends, when I was in the Aberdeen area a couple weeks ago, the plumes of cattail burns dotted the late afternoon horizon.
