Yep, couldn't agree more. It's a lot harder to enjoy when you don't have your own dog out in front. If my dog isn't able to go, I won't go.

Wheat harvest really got with it a little over a week ago. Hearing mixed results on the wheat, some decent, some really poor. Not hearing many quail reports as of yet

Yep, I'm counting down the days until my buddy and I make our way out west. Our farmer connection out there said he would like to see the rain pass him by this time and they still have snow on the ground from the last round of winter weather that dropped 2 inches of snow. Good luck to everyone...

Yep, don't know why it is, but we always pass on the quail when we are out west chasing roosters. It just never crosses our thoughts I guess, but man there are a ton of quail where we hunt. We always say, "we have quail at home to chase. We hunt all private, it's funny...one of the guys we hunt...

That's awesome, too bad there are no jacks around me, just the little cottontails. That would be a sight to see I would think. I think there is someone on here that had recently taken up falconry. I can't remember for sure who or if it was even on this site. Good luck
