Opening gun deer season success...just not the antlered kind.

I've gotten into this habit of floating my bead under the bird. I shoot a lot of trap and I have my trap gun patterning 90/10 and I'm subconsciously doing that in the field which is causing me to shoot under everything. It has been a frustrating year to say the least.

A notch below piss poor

I'll be honest, I wish they would release at night. Speaking of habitat, I went to one of the Storrs Lake properties and that cover was 4 feet over my head. You can't swing a shotgun in that nor can you even see a bird getting up. I also wish they would do a control burn on some of these places.

I only have about an hour after work on the weekdays to hunt before daylight savings and this has been my experience as well. 5 trucks at least in every parking lot no matter where you go.

My griff only ranges out to about 50 yards if that before she checks back in. With 3 knee surgeries under my belt at 50, I appreciate a close working dog. I would absolutely get another when the time comes.
