hunted with a Wirehair, and to me, he was a "TRUE" versatile gun dog. He would point phez and quail, and retrieve like a lab. You could hunt ducks in the morning and upland in the afternoon and he would do great. They are tough, and make great inside dogs as well.

Just curious, but do you have relatives around Kensington. I am actually from Kensington, born and raised.

Growing up, we always ran English setters with a black lab female and they did good together. Dad would keep the lab close, and once the Setters had the point, she would be sent in. I always thought it worked real well, but like you guys have said earlier, to each his own

On ESPN, both of the analysts said they would win five or less. Its still a "rebuilding" year. I though it has been a rebuilding year for the last five. But the way Ron Jarkowski(sp) made it sound, he expects them to do better next year. I guess we will see.

Where ya headed to hunt? I live in North Central Kansas, around Smith Center. And from what I hear there is a decent amount of doves in that area. I'm in school at Hays, but I am headed home this weekend to get some shooting done.
