It has been quite some time since ive logged onto this forum. A few years atleast. I remember this forum being instrumental in getting me connected and educated about all things bird dog related in Minnesota after I moved here from Georgia and it led me to meet some people I am lucky to call...

    SD trip

Greetings, havent had much activity on the old UPH forum lately but it has been a good season thus far. Been mainly focused on ducks so far this season but the 4 times I have been out to chase pheasants I have been able to produce some birds (well my dogs have and the birds happened to fly into...

    Opener

had a great opener on Saturday, got out ealry in the morning to shoot some quackers (which had eluded me so far this year --thats a whole nother story) but the ducks finally came out of hiding and was able to drop a few in the morning hunt. After a quick breakfast, went out to the fields...

    Any Waterfowlers from MN here?

Lazer, why not combine the sites as one and make it ultimate wing shooting? I would be much more likely to participate in a one stop shop then having to go from forum to forum etc.

    Upland Game in GA?

I am from Georgia and I echo the sentiment..North georgia doesn't have the gators so you can get into some "safer" waterfowling there. There are some gam farms that offer pheasant hunts but wild birds do not exist. Quail are tough to find all the QF is doing a good job of bringing back some...

    made in the USA?

I am stubborn.. I just will not spend money on firearms made outside the US..that is just me.. I certainly do not judge others who do though. A beretta is a fine gun and some of the best firearms made are made in other countries. I just will never be in the field without a Remington...made...

What to legally do with a hen!

Game Wardens and CO"s have more judicial powers then any other domestic branch of law enforcement. You shoot a hen, they could take your gun, your dog, your truck..anything used to take illegal game. Will they actually do that? no most if not all would not but if you get in trouble for taking...

    Giving a day back

very cool and sounds like an awesome program. More hunters = more conservation and a more secure future for our beloved sport. If they had his program in MN I would do it in a heartbeat.

    Dog breed question

I think you might be misled..albeit everyone is entitled to their own opinion. To say labradors are chiefly retrievers is a massive understatement. I have used labs for primarily for upland hunting and on wild birds I would personally take a flusher over a pointer any day. My labs would take...

    Dog breed question

This is like ford or chevy, remington or browning, beretta or bennelli.. Get a lab..they do everything well. A british lab to be exact...especially if your interested in the in house family part. As a disclaimer..I want to own one of every hunting breed before I go..and every hunting breed...
