Wow, your hunting report has brought up some fond old memories of hunting with my dad. He was my dad and my best friend. He always had time to take me hunting or fishing and his favorite was quail hunting. He and my uncle Roy took me to Kansas (Oberlin) around 1986 and did we have a great...
Welcome Beaufort. I'm about 2.5 hours south of you in Calabash. I fish out of Beaufort several times a year with a friend from New Bern.
We also travel to Kansas once every few years to pheasant and quail hunt. It is always a great trip.

Deer hunting is pretty good, and we enjoy coastal fishing quite a bit.
Hey, the first time we were out there we hunted from Oberlin to Norton, with a little foray into McCook, Nebraska. The last two times we have been we stayed in WaKeeney, south of you on 283. Mostly hunted between WaKeeney and Hill City.
Good cold morning to all. I'm a long time lurker but just registered newbie here from North Carolina. Me and several friends hunt western Kansas every few years, although because of the drought, we haven't been since 2009. Enjoy reading the posts and viewing the pics. Hope to get back out...
