I would say yes. I love my Astro would not want to be with out it. You can use the transmitter for more than just tracking your dog. What collar does it come with?

Little late to post. And I will say I'm probably in the minority here as I like a 28 in barrel for upland, dove, and deer hunting, I swing it and point to shoot better than any other shotgun I have along with an older 870 wingmaster trap with three fixed barrels

Mmmm, I have an 1187 premier light contour that's close to twenty years old and I've shot every load imaginable with it. Taken every game from dove to deer with it wot out fail. One o ring replacement. That's my go to gun it's heavy in the field all day but it shoots man. I've got a1972...
