    try googling bull thistle and burdock and see if that is it. I cant tell much from the pics but as noted Jimison weed is a possibility too. Think its going to be one of these 3. As far as control 2-4-D should get it.

    5 sage. sure they more plentiful but they were not my intended targets. after 4 leg critters and they just happed to be in my path. if i covered more low county sure would have seen more.

    for what it's worth esetter hunted the bighorns 2 days last week and only saw 5 sage grouse and they were all together. didnt look like good habitat for them in our part of central WY.
