Im just curious. Why is it that I always hear gsp's are better pheasant dogs,and english setters are better grouse dogs? what makes a gsp better than a es at pheasants.and what makes a es better than a gsp at grouse.:confused:

I was thinking about that too! one of the other kennels im looking at his males are 60lbs-65lbs kind of a nice size

Yes but from what I understand. I think german deutcsh kurzhaars are a little heavier boned than our american gsp's. I think

I was looking at a breeder of dk (aka gsp) and this breeder has a male that weighs 85lbs and is almost 27inches tall. my question is isnt that huge for a gsp? I thought gsp were supposed to be fast and agile. how agile would a dog that size be? just curious for all i know it could be very...

I know each dog is an individual. But on average which breed do you find more affectionate? lewellyn setter or gsp?

Ive posted a lot of questions about different pointing breeds in th last month or so. I live in massachusettes and I was wondering if anyone would know of any dog trials nearby where i could see some pointing breeds in action. I live in western mass. ANYONE?::):)
