    NW Kansas Bad

I've Seen 12 birds south of Norton so far, about 50 / 50 sex wise. I've just driven by a lot of WIHA that didn't look worth hunting so far.....ate a lot of dust, changed my contacts 3 times....will be 72 degrees tomorrow. Not what I expected for KS in November....having a blast though! -John

    First guns for kids

I started with an old Western Auto 20ga side by side. I think it is a store model for Savage. It doesn't kick bad, not real loud and didn't have a hammer like the one my younger brother carried and it was a tense moment every time he cocked and didn't shoot and had to let the hammer down. A...

    A Season to Remember?

I hunted north of Lucas on Friday. While I sat there Thursday stuffing my face, I knew I was asking for trouble. I managed to avoid the dump in the field, but it was a much faster walk back to the truck than it was away from it. I'm actually surprised the dog didn't seize this opportunity to run...

    Good Hunting Weekend

Glad you had some luck, I hunted a few WIHA's a township or two north of Lucas and south of highway 181. It was a long ride up from Joplin, Mo to not find any birds, but the pup and I had a blast. Wish I could have hunted a few more days and explored some more, it sure was pretty country. -John

    Kansas Questions?

Are these just the standard shot records you get upon "checking out" from the vet's office, or are there other forms to get? -John

    Kansas Questions?

I'll be heading down to KS from PA over Thanksgiving and was wondering about dog requirements....does KS require any type of health certificate from a veterinarian as some of the other states do? Also, congrats to everyone who has managed to find roosters this week so far, and I understand that...
