Can't go wrong with John Prince and Prince Quality Gun Dogs. He is close to Pittsburg Ks. I bought my pup there. John promised I'd be happy or he would take the pup back and give me a different one. That didn't have to happen. My dog is just what I was looking for...

I'm hoping to head north as well. Never hunted South Dakota, but it sure looks better than Kansas this year.

I live in Pratt. It's pretty bare out here. Last year was horrible. This year was dry again as well. I'm not looking for it to be good. Hope I'm wrong.

Finally got a day off and took the pup and kids out yesterday. Got a late afternoon start, but still managed to get a shot a single quail and pheasant in the first Walk in place. Last field of the day didn't result in any shots, but that was my fault for not walking the edge of the road. 20...

A friend of mine bought some chuckers to see who's dog was best. After just a few birds, it was obvious...both had fun and did great. Here is just a quick shot of my dog Huck going after one.

A buddy of mine and I are buying some pheasants and chukars from a guy around Pretty Prarie to get our young dogs on some birds before season starts. Prices seem right. We are picking them up. Not sure if he ships. I can get more info if anyone wants.
