O'Neil Forebay I brought my dog out there on Saturday to help out the kids. There were a lot of birds left after the AM and PM hunts on Saturday. I think only 12 or so birds were taken in the AM.

Glad your pup bounced back from parvo. Mine got it at 10 weeks and it was very tough on him. I'm still waiting for a day like you had yesterday. Sounds like a great day.

Good luck down there. I went out near Fallon Nevada. Might make another trip out there but not sure based on the lack of birds.

Thanks guys. Took him out this morning and he found a shot quail for me. He's got a long ways to go but sure is fun to take out and hunt with.

Does it count if you've been out quite a few times this year but haven't managed to actually get anything? If so, I'm Mike and a quail hunter. This is my first season hunting since I was a kid growing up in ND and AK. It's been fun but most of the time it's hiking with a gun and a dog.

I went out yesterday and today and didn't run into anything. Not bad days outside but it sure would've been nice to get something.

Yep. Nothing there but mosquitoes and deer unfortunately. Saw another guy walking out as we were heading out with our second dog and he didn't see anything either.

Went out to O'neill forebay this morning. Turns out they are doing field trials there today and tomorrow so there were a bunch of people out. Didn't manage to find any birds but ran into a few deer including a pretty decent sized buck that the dog flushed about 25 yards in front of us.

It was a great time getting out there on Sunday and boy is my dog tired. She's pretty much slept for the last 2 days straight and I still haven't managed to get all the burrs out of her hair. This was my first time out hunting with my dog and my first time out quail hunting in way too many...

I went out to hunters valley by lake McClure this morning for a few hours. Brought my 6 month old pup along so he could run around. Didn't run into any quail unfortunately but still had a pretty good time.
